For maximum fuel efficiencyFor optimal streamline, the roof fairing of the DAF LF Aerobody slopes slightly upwards at the front, and the corners are rounded. At the rear, the roof of the body slopes slightly downwards in the middle, further improving the aerodynamics. For the same reason a specially developed set of fenders and spoilers is supplied as a standard. This set integrates the cab with the body. Thanks to the aerodynamic enhancements fuel savings of over 4% and as a consequence reductions in CO2 emissions are possible in the distribution transport. At a cruising speed of 85 km/h, the Euro 6 LF Aerobody can be up to 8% more economical compared to a vehicle with a conventional body.
16 or 17 Euro pallets
The LF Aerobody, complete with PACCAR body, is manufactured at Leyland Trucks in Great Britain. The body is available with internal lengths of 6.75 and 7.05 metres, suitable for carrying 16 or 17 Euro pallets. A tail lift with a lifting capacity of 1,500 kg is fitted as a standard and, for extra convenience, the LF Aerobody is available with an optional door on the right-hand side of the body. The DAF LF Aerobody naturally features the same excellent driving performance and user-friendliness as the other models in the comprehensive LF series. The small turning circle, easy access to the cab and low empty weight makes it ideal for intensive distribution transport. The LF Aerobody is available with a range of economical Euro 6 engines: the 4.5-litre, four-cylinder PACCAR PX-5 engine and the 6.7-litre, six-cylinder PACCAR PX-7 engine with ratings between 112 kW/152 hp and 194 kW/264 hp.
