Communications Manager

You will lead the Communications Team for Leyland Trucks, who produce the full range of DAF Trucks, the UK market leader for 29 consecutive years.
With a 80/20 split between internal and external communications, your main focus will be on driving engagement with the workforce of just over 1000 employees.
Experience in using creative software and multimedia is essential, along with experience in delivering successful campaigns and communications plans.
With the role extending to the management of VIP and Customer visits, ownership of CSR activities and liaison with DAF Eindhoven and PACCAR USA, no two days are the same.
You will work closely with the C-Suite, and help drive the vision, mission and values through the organisation, while improving EVP and strengthening our presence and as an employer of choice.

In this role you would:
- Develop and deliver the Leyland Trucks’ communications strategy, directed to both internal and external audiences.
- Manage the Communications Team at Leyland
- Liaise with the DAF Communications Team to ensure consistency of brand and messaging
- Manage Factory Visit process and ensure necessary resources
- Manage company events including recognition initiatives
- Co-ordinate high profile visit events
- Liaise with DAF UK to coordinate events and marketing activity
- Maintain corporate image through photography/videos/social media.
- Budget management
- Undertake CI Activities
- Manage CSR activities and initiatives
What We're Looking For:
- Experience of managing teams
- Significant experience within Communications/PR/Social Media - Essential
- Experience of the full Adobe suite or similar creative tools - Essential
- Experience of managing senior visits and events
- Excellent people skills with experience of dealing with a wide-array of people
- High level computer literacy and assertiveness - Essential
- A demonstrable ability to work to tight deadlines and balance challenging work requirements
- Able to manage multiple priorities
- Operate effectively as part of a team
- Creative innovation and design thinking
- DFMEA/DVP&R/DFSS
- Requirements management tools an advantage (DNG, Polarion)

Salary
Circa £53k depending on experience
