Department
Identify and define improvements within the current in-service fleet of sustainable commercial vehicles. Work within a world-class Product Development team in Service and Warranty analysis for the UK’s market-leading commercial vehicle manufacturer.
Leyland Trucks is the centre of medium duty truck expertise within the global PACCAR corporation, and a team of approximately 120 engineers are responsible for the LF vehicle model.

In this role you would:
- Provide aftersales support to the DAF organisation
- Manage deliverables with the specialist design groups, manufacturing and SQA for service issues.
- Assist the Warranty reclaim team to recover costs from suppliers
- Assist the Warranty assessment team with assessment queries
- Support the Business KPIs for service failure rate & cost reduction
- Provide technical advice for the resolution of service problems & aftersales support to the DAF organisation.
- Drive plans with major unit suppliers for current problem resolution.
- Champion use of the 7-Step Problem Resolution Process to investigate and close service issues
What We're Looking For:
- Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
- Proven Technical problem-solving skills using a range of DATA and tools
- Broad engineering background in the commercial vehicle environment
- Proven capability in presenting technical information to Suppliers/Management
- Ability to manage high levels of complexity.
- Tenacious with strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
- Self-motivated with drive and initiative
- Proven ability of interfacing with people at various levels throughout the DAF network
- Strong planning and organisational skills

Salary
Circa £45k depending on experience
