Assembly Operative Apprenticeship

During this three year apprenticeship, you will gain first-hand knowledge of how our trucks are assembled through the use of just-in-time manufacturing methods, correct tool usage and electronic work instructions. You will gain hands-on experience and an insight into areas including frame assembly, piping and wiring, chassis and cab assembly, and vehicle finish.

Working within a team to assemble our vehicles, you will work towards achieving a Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering qualification as part of the Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship Standard.

You will attend Preston College on a block release basis to complete the above qualifications.  We are recruiting 10 Assembly Operator Apprentices this year.  

What we are looking for

To apply, you need a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including Maths, English and Science. 

With a keen, demonstrable interest in automotive, manufacturing or engineering, you will be eager to learn and be able to adapt to a changing environment. With the ability to use your own initiative, you will take co-responsibility for your development within the business and help shape your future career.
