Level 4 Apprenticeships

Automotive Engineering Apprenticeship
This four year apprenticeship will provide you with practical hands-on experience gaining an insight into areas including frame assembly, piping and wiring, vehicle assembly, vehicle finish and prototype. You'll also gain experience within quality, manufacturing engineering and continuous improvement.
Undertaking a structured rotation through various assembly related departments, you will work towards a Level 4 HNC in Engineering as part of the Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship Standard.
As the apprenticeship develops you will also expand your knowledge in areas such electrical fault finding, diagnostics and repair.
You will attend Preston College on a day release basis.
We are recruiting four Automotive Engineering Apprentices this year.
What we are looking for
To apply, you will need a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including Maths, English and Science.
With a keen, demonstrable interest in engineering, you will be eager to learn and be able to adapt to a changing environment. With the ability to use your own initiative, you will take co-responsibility for your development within the business and help shape your future career.

Facilities and Maintenance Apprenticeship
As part of this apprenticeship, you will learn how to maintain the equipment and facilities necessary to keep the market leading truck factory at peak condition. Working as part of a multifunctional maintenance team you will learn how to carry out both scheduled and non-scheduled electrical/mechanical maintenance on the plant and equipment i.e cranes & lifting equipment, control systems & pneumatic tooling.
Completing a Level 3 Mechatronics Apprenticeship Standard and a Level 4 Engineering HNC, you will have the opportunity to follow an Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance pathway.
You’ll begin your apprenticeship with a 12-month block release at Training 2000, followed by day-release for the remainder of your apprenticeship.
We are recruiting one Facilities and Maintenance Apprentice this year.
What we are looking for

Fabrication and Welding Apprenticeship
Gaining essential skills within the Prototype department and combining this practical experience with a Level 4 HNC in Engineering as part of the Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship Standard. You will learn how to safely undertake a wide range of fabrication and welding activities, as well as using other production equipment and CAD software, to manufacture a wide array of production jigs and tools, plus small volume production parts.
You will attend Preston College on a day release basis. We are recruiting one Fabrication and Welding Apprentice this year.
